Danobatgroup’s technological and innovation-driven approach stands out again at the BIEMH 2026
- The co-operatives Danobat and Soraluce of the industrial group will showcase their latest advanced manufacturing solutions at the trade fair, held from 2 to 6 March in Bilbao.
- Danobat will present the new CGX grinding machine featuring its proprietary MDM-100 measuring system, while Soraluce will present the FLP80 milling machine. Both solutions are designed to meet the production challenges of the most demanding industrial sectors.
- In parallel, the group will also take part in WORKinn, the employment fair held alongside BIEMH, aimed at bringing the realities of the manufacturing sector closer to younger generations.
The technological and innovation-driven approach of Danobatgroup, an international leader in machine tools and advanced manufacturing, will once again play a prominent role at the upcoming International Machine Tool Biennial (BIEMH), held from 2 to 6 March 2026 at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre (BEC).
The industrial group will be exhibiting at stand C10, Hall 1, where visitors will be able to explore the latest advanced machine-tool solutions from its co-operatives Danobat and Soraluce, developed to address real manufacturing challenges in highly demanding strategic sectors.
Specifically, Danobatgroup will exhibit the new Danobat CGX cylindrical grinding machine and the Soraluce FLP 80 milling machine at the BIEMH. In addition, Danobat will showcase further innovative solutions, including hard turning technologies and CNC robotic solutions, while Soraluce will present its advanced solutions for the aerospace sector and its capabilities in intelligent automation.
Danobat to present the CGX grinding machine with innovative in-house MDM-100 measuring system
Danobat will exhibit at the BIEMH the new CGX cylindrical grinding machine, a versatile solution that combines a compact design with high workpiece capacity. Within its class, the CGX stands out for its ability to grind workpieces of up to 1,800 mm in length, 540 mm in diameter and 500 kg in weight, while occupying 30% less floor space than comparable moving-table alternatives.
The CGX integrates the new MDM-100, the first automatic multi-diameter measuring system developed by Danobat specifically for compact cylindrical grinding machines. This technology enables fully automatic pre-, in- and post-process measurements, significantly reducing operator intervention and ensuring continuous, precise control throughout the grinding process.

The MDM-100 addresses the needs of manufacturers working with multiple part references and variable diameters who seek to automate measurement in order to minimise down times, reduce manual adjustments and ensure quality from the very first part. The system can measure and verify diameters ranging from 5 to 125 mm, even on parts with interrupted or discontinuous surfaces or complex geometries, delivering an accuracy of ±1.5 μm and a repeatability of 1 μm.
Alongside the CGX, Danobat will also present other innovative solutions, including hard turning technologies and CNC robotic solutions that open up new manufacturing possibilities and highlight disruptive advances in machine-tool technology. A broad range of technologies with a shared goal: precision and flexibility.
Soraluce: Advanced solutions and smart automation
Soraluce will showcase its in-house technological expertise in the machining of large components with the FLP80 milling-boring machine, a representative model of its Productivity Line range. The machine is designed for machining large workpieces, offering high stock removal rates, cutting stability, speed, power and precision. It also incorporates advanced technologies such as the DAS active damping system, adaptive control, and spindle interpolation for turning operations.
Beyond this solution, Soraluce will present its approach to integrated production management through its Intelligent Automated Solutions, designed to maximise productivity and reduce non-productive time across the entire manufacturing process. These solutions integrate machine, palletisation, process, automation, tool management and software into a single, unified ecosystem.

Soraluce will also feature a dedicated aerospace area, showcasing its capabilities in the machining of aerostructures, engine components and landing gear. These solutions are based on technologies such as 5-axis machining, active damping, multifunctionality, intelligent automation and process monitoring.
Highlights include high rail gantry milling machines for large structural components, delivering high cutting speeds, extreme precision and process stability, as well as Soraluce’s new fork-type milling head — a five-axis solution engineered to ensure maximum precision, stability and flexibility when machining advanced materials and complex geometries.
Commitment to people and talent
With the emergence of new technologies, the industrial manufacturing sector is experiencing significant changes that require new professional profiles which are capable of addressing the challenges posed by the digitalisation of production environments. In this scenario, strengthening links between industry and the academic world has become a key factor for attracting new professional profiles.
To address this technological transformation, Danobatgroup maintains a strong commitment to people and the recruitment of specialised talent. In line with this vision, the group will participate in WORKinn, the employment fair held alongside BIEMH, where it will present its co-operative model as a benchmark environment for professional and personal development, while bringing the realities of the manufacturing sector closer to the next generation of engineers.
