Challenging the future for 50 years

SORALUCE S. Coop., a leading company in the design and manufacture of milling machines, milling-boring machines and milling centres with state-of-the-art technology and high productivity, will be celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2012, which the UN has declared the International Year of Cooperatives under the slogan “Cooperative Enterprises Build a Better World'. The main events will be held on 27 and 28 April, to coincide with the dates on which the company was constituted and the foundation stone of the first factory laid. A series of encounters with sales agents and international customers with also be held at SORALUCE throughout the week. SORALUCE’s beginnings go back to 1962, when 52 founder members signed the deed of constitution of Talleres SORALUCE Sociedad Cooperativa, a company that was to manufacture machine tools, the sector in which their experience lay. The firm has gradually become a leading milling and boring specialist with an international profile and a worldwide footprint, and the brand stands out for its great reliability, high performance and advanced technology. SORALUCE offers its customers solutions geared to productivity and efficiency, and more than 2,500 milling machines and boring machines installed all over the world are the proof of its commitment to its customers’ success. Half a century has gone by since the firm was created, and its workers are well aware that the road has not always been easy. The main event to be held on 27 April will therefore serve as a tribute to the founder members and to all the people who have worked at the cooperative in the past and who work there today.
