DANOBAT is to present its latest technological advancements for the machining of railway wheels and discs at the InnoTrans trade fair. This is its chance to showcase solutions for a wide range of vehicles, such as, high-speed trains, locomotives, commuter trains, trams and metro trains.

With an aim to making known its commitment to developing innovative manufacturing solutions and its digital value proposition, the machine tool and production system manufacturer is to have a notable presence at the coming edition of the InnoTrans fair.

DANOBAT will showcase on hall 22A stand 601 of INNOTRAS 2016 tradefair its latest developments on railways maintenance depot equipment, exhibiting preventive and corrective solutions for a wide range of vehicles, such as high-speed trains, locomotives, commuter trains, trams and metros.

DANOBAT will also display on the stand a complete solution for the maintenance of components for rolling stock. This new solution consists of a measuring unit of train wheels, wheelset optimisation software and a new range of underfloor wheel lathes. The new development is especially geared to increasing the life-span of wheelsets by some 25% and cutting maintenance costs.

DANOBATGROUP has awarded the prize for the best conceptual design and precision engineering project to the students of the TECNUN Industrial Engineering Masters course.  The project involved taking on a practical challenge by the 33 students, who had the opportunity to develop their knowledge and put it into practice. The project was of technological value for the Machine-Tool sector within the area of Design and Precision Engineering of a grinder.

This activity is included within the collaboration framework signed between DANOBATGROUP and TECNUN last December, through which theoretical training is combined with projects and experiences in a real environment as the final objective.  University and company go hand-in-hand to demonstrate to future engineers the activities developed in the area of Research and Industry.  They are informed of the need of a high qualification and other necessary competencies to participate in and successfully meet the new future challenges within the machine tool sector.
